WebCataract extraction in exfoliation syndrome requires careful preoperative assessment and planning. Knowledge of the degree of pupil dilation and zonular integrity are essential for safely perform cataract surgery in these eyes. Capsule rhexis should be 5.5 mm and all intraoperative maneuvers should be designed to minimize zonular stress.
